Congratulations are in order for Billy Joel on the announcement of his third child.
The musician confirmed he and his fourth wife, Alexis Roderick are expecting their second child to the Belfast Telegraph.
Joel, 68, and Roderick, 35, are already parents to two-year-old daughter Della Rose. He is also the father to 31-year-old Alexa Ray with his ex-wife Christie Brinkley.
In the interview, he recalls the time he took Alexa Ray to see his family home in Hicksville, NY, to show her his childhood.
"˜"˜Daddy, you were poor," she said. To which, he responded: "We weren't poor. We just didn't have any money.''
Joel also revealed to the publication the latest addition to his brood is due sooner than expected.
"We are due next month," Joel said.
In reference to his youngest daughter, he couldn't help but indulge in her good behaviour.
"This one is pretty good. She sleeps through the night. I hope the next one will."
"I hang out with her and watch her little wheels spin. And she's a hoot. She's a funny kid. She loves to laugh. I like to make her laugh," Joel said.
Joel and Roderick, an equestrian and former Morgan Stanley executive, began dating in 2009, eventually tying the knot in 2015.
Joel, with six Grammy awards and over 150 million albums sold, currently resides in North Haven and is in the midst of his residency at Madison Square Garden.
