Tabloid magazines are like junk food to me.
I know they're bad for me, but when I see them in the checkout aisle at the grocery store I just can't resist.
Of course, you can't believe everything you read in those magazines.
For every true Hollywood scandal there are 10 more that are just plain made up.
When That '70s Show star Ashton Kutcher was labeled a cheater by one of these magazines, he didn't take it lightly.
Spotted with a mystery woman
The story broke when paparazzi snapped shots of Kutcher stepping out of his car with an unidentified woman by his side.
"Hey, Ashton!" read a spread in Star Magazine, "Who's the girl?"
Strangest of all, the woman had a striking resemblance to Kutcher's wife, actress Mila Kunis.
Years of cheating rumors
It wasn't the first time that Kutcher had been accused of adultery.
When he split up with his ex-wife, actress Demi Moore, fans speculated Kutcher's infidelity was behind the divorce.
It didn't help that Moore's statement on the breakup said "there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred."
It certainly seemed like she was pointing the finger at someone else for breaking their vows.
But when Kutcher finally cleared the air about the cheating rumors, he completely embarrassed the tabloid.
"You should have heard how upset Mila was..."
Kutcher took to Twitter to teach the gossip magazine a thing or two about jumping to conclusions.
"You should have heard how upset Mila was that I spent the day with our cousin," he wrote.
"Sorry aunt Jodie these magazines lack integrity."
Well that explained why the mystery woman was a dead ringer for Kunis: of course they were related.
But what about those other cheating rumors?
Kutcher addressed those too, with an awards ceremony speech that made headlines.
"Character comes when those magazines tear you apart"
Last year, Kutcher was given an award for good character in his home state of Iowa.
During his acceptance speech, Kutcher didn't shy away from the cheating rumors that have dogged him since his split from Moore.
"I'm also probably the first person to get this award for character who had, like, his name splashed across every gossip magazine as an adulterer like five years ago," he said.
"Character comes when those magazines tear you apart for something you may or may not have done and you gotta go out and perform tomorrow "” with everyone looking at you like you might be an adulterer."
Despite all of the gossip, Kutcher has actually proven time and time again that he's not just an actor - he's a true role model.
"I'm standing on the balcony, thinking about jumping off"
Not many people know this, but Kutcher has a twin brother named Michael.
The pair are very close, but not identical. In fact, Michael was born with cerebral palsy.
When the brothers were just 13, Michael suffered from cardiac arrest. Doctors told Kutcher's parents the boy had just hours to live without a heart transplant.
In an acceptance speech, Kutcher revealed he considered suicide that night - so his heart could be donated to Michael.
"I'm standing on the balcony, thinking about jumping off, and my dad comes out and says, 'What are you thinking about?'"
Luckily, a heart had just arrived from another organ donor.
But the incredible story proves Kutcher would do anything for the people he loves.
Fighting back against abusers
While his determination to save his brother was private, Kutcher has publicly supported some great causes as well.
The actor runs a nonprofit company called Thorn, which develops software for law enforcement officers that helps identify sex trafficking victims.
"You can roll up your sleeves and go try to be like a hero and go save one person, or you can build a tool that allows one person to save a lot of people," the actor said about his work.
But despite his busy schedule, Kutcher also makes time for his family.
And the love story of how he met his wife is as romantic as any Hollywood film.
"Is this illegal?"
The couple first connected on the set of their wildly popular sitcom, That '70s Show.
Kutcher and Kunis "dated" onscreen as Jackie and Kelso, but things were strictly friendly when the cameras were off.
In fact, Kunis was just 15 during her time on the show, while Kutcher was 20.
"Is this illegal?" the actor remembered asking before they shot their first kiss.
That scene was Kunis's real life first kiss, and she admits she "had the biggest crush" on Kutcher.
But the pair saw other people during their time on the show, with Kutcher dating Brittany Murphy while Kunis was linked to Macaulay Culkin.
Reunited years later
Kunis and Kutcher finally got together after the actor split from his six-year marriage to Demi Moore.
After being "just friends" for years, the pair fell for each other, and today they're happily married.
They even have a pair of children, three-year-old Wyatt Isabelle and one-year-old Dimitri.
Kutcher says his wife "kicks my a-- on character every day," and his children are "the greatest, greatest lesson in character in my life."
While there's no trouble in paradise for this couple, other Hollywood stars have been caught double-dipping.
Hollywood heartbreakers
It's no secret that celebrities are only human.
But unlike us, when their relationships fall apart they make a huge splash in the tabloids.
Take action star and former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In 2011, the Terminator star came clean about a decades-long love affair with his family's maid.
The reason for the honesty? Schwarzenegger had a lovechild with the woman, and his resemblance to the teenager was now undeniable.
Against all odds, the actor is on good terms with his illegitimate son, Joseph Baena, today.
But Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, have been separated ever since.
Sandra Bullock was just as devastated when her beau, West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James, was exposed as a serial cheater.
James called himself "the most hated man in the world" when the scandal broke, and it's hard to argue with him.
Still, James argued he was a sex addict, and says he has "no regrets" about two-timing the Miss Congeniality star.
Hugh Grant's baby drama
The British star known for his refined onscreen persona is not exactly a gentleman in real life.
Grant became an international laughingstock in 1995, when he was caught in a car with sex worker Divine Brown.
Surprisingly, Grant's girlfriend, actress and model Elizabeth Hurley, stayed with the actor for another five years after the scandal.
But the Bridget Jones's Diary star hasn't stopped playing the field, even though he's now a father of five.
The actor has flip-flopped between a pair of girlfriends, receptionist Tinglan Hong and Swedish TV producer Anna Eberstein.
Despite calling his relationship with Hong a "fleeting affair," Grant has reunited with her several times.
At one point, Hong and Eberstein were both pregnant with Grant's children at the same time.
Mr. Darcy would never do something like that!
But the biggest cheating scandal in recent memory involved a basketball star and a pregnant Kardashian sister.
Khloe's heartbreak
Khloe Kardashian made headlines during her pregnancy with her daughter, True, because of her health complications.
But it turned out that all along her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, had been creating complications of his own.
While Khloe gushed that her connection with Thompson was "the best relationship I've ever been in," the star basketball player obviously didn't feel the same way.
Thompson was spotted kissing other women at a nightclub, and even entering a hotel at 5 a.m. with a model - just days before his daughter was born.
As news broke, a source told People that Thompson was "a serial cheater. And there will be more women to come out of the woodwork."
But despite all of the drama, Khloe surprised fans by allowing Thompson into her delivery room.
"At this point, Khloe's family wants nothing more than to believe that he is a stand-up guy and that this was a setup," a source told ET.
"But only time will tell."
Fool me once, shame on you
The news that Khloe's boyfriend has been unfaithful is especially painful, because her last relationship was just as painful.
After she married basketball star Lamar Odom, the couple struggled to start a family and Odom grappled with a drug addiction that nearly took his life.
Khloe seemed convinced that Thompson was different.
"My boyfriend is very protective of me," she said.
"Feeling loved and validated and secure is a huge thing. Tristan is protective of my entire family, which is beautiful. And I love that everything we do is as a union."
Fans will have to wait and see if this couple can manage to overcome their differences, now that their daughter has arrived.
