There are lots of people out there who are perpetually cold. No matter how many layers they wear, the weather outside is always frightful for them and most indoor spaces feel too drafty.
It's really hard for a person with a low tolerance for cold to find comfort, and since you can't take your blanket everywhere, other solutions are needed when the temperatures turn frigid.
However, bundling up for winter can be even more challenging if you're trying to be fashionable and warm at the same time.
If you're someone who does not want to sacrifice one for the other, there's a new trend that might be to your liking.
Lercio, a Milan-based publication, recently featured the unusual trend of people wrapping tiny knit scarves around their ankles. Seriously, I wish I was kidding.
So for those who still want to rock their midi skirts and ankle crops with no socks instead of full-length bottoms, wrapping the exposed skin with a small scarf could just be what you need.
Also, keep in mind that this is not to be confused with the 2016 bohemian-inspired trend that saw women tying silk scarves around their ankles in the name of fashion.
Since no one ever asked for tiny ankle scarves, if you were thinking of purchasing one for yourself or that friend who always feels like they're in an icebox, you'll have a hard time finding them.
Scarves specifically made for the ankles aren't available for sale yet, but it's probably only a matter of time until they are. If you're feeling crafty though, you can go ahead and knit a pair or piece them together from old scarves.
Some people suggest shopping in the kid's section and you may be able to find scarves tiny enough to be wrapped around your ankle without excess fabric that you could trip on.
