The latest season of Little People, Big World may have come to an end, but Amy Roloff has still been in people's prayers in the last week. Right after the season wrapped up. Amy revealed that her mother, Patricia Knight, had been hospitalized.
After hearing the news, Amy left a conference she was speaking at in South Dakota to go home to Michigan and be with her parents.
Amy is 54 years old and has grandchildren of her own, so it’s quite lucky that she still has both parents. Her mother is 86 and her dad is 90.
“From Souix Falls SD to Going ‘home’ to see my parents. My mom isn’t doing so well and I need to see them. Every moment is precious the older I get and the older they get. ❤️. Like the old days I’m going to make dinner for them. This Michigan girl is coming home. 😊❤️ ” Amy captioned a throwback photo of her parents on Instagram.
In her next post,
“I love coming ‘home’ to Michigan, ” Amy shares “Wish it was for other reasons than my Mom being in the hospital. After visiting w/ my Mom in the hospital I made dinner for my Dad! He enjoyed it and I loved making it for him. My Mom is doing ok. The coming home and the care she may need is the tough part. Just glad I could be here! ❤️. ”
On Monday Amy kept us updated that she was happy that she was able to return home to be with her parents.
"Waiting to hear if she (Mom) gets to come home today. She’s ready and tired of hospital food, that’s a good sign 😊.Her heart is weak though and she gets tired easily but her mind is sharp. The transition of slowing down and not doing all she’d like to do will be hard. Just need to appreciate the moments, what she can do and the days that are left. Thank you to everyone that so thoughtfully thought of me and my parents and for all your prayers. So kind and I so appreciate it. ❤️. I love this place, their house and the lake and coming back while it’s still here. "
Amy's update today revealed that her Mom wouldn't be coming home yet.
"I’m so bummed my mom couldn’t come home yet but needs to stay in the hospital a little longer so they can take care of an infection in the bone of her finger still. Her heart is weak but she is doing well considering. I was sad to have to leave already to come back home. I’ll be back in July. Thank you to those for your prayers and encouragement. I’m very appreciative of them.Appreciate moments everyday for time is but a moment and goes by fast.
You are in my prayers Amy. Stay strong.
