"Definitely an amazing feat. We were at the sceda race at the speedway dragstrip and got to watch them make this pizza from our pit. I'd say 99% of it was donated and a few were able to try it. While definitely not the best pizza, at least we were able to say we got a taste of the worlds longest pizza. Great job!!!! It was hard work I'm sure," Michael Agnew wrote on Facebook.
It seems like there's a quick turnover for this particular foodie prize, so I wonder who will try and break the record next?

To complete this pizza it took 2.2 tons of flour, 2.2 tons of mozzarella cheese, 3,527 pounds of tomato sauce, 200 liters of olive oil and 66 pounds of fresh basil. Everything was locally sourced from the Campania region, also known as the "home of pizza", according to Guinness.
It's important to note that, this award is separate from the world's largest pizza, which includes surface area, instead of sheer length.
This pizza looks amazing! I think I need to make a trip back to Italy soon.
