During the summer of 2016, Pokemon Go was released as a smart phone app, and it almost broke the world. Cities across the world had to draft legislation to combat the massive issues that were being created by the thousands of people who were congregating in parks, and trespassing on private property in order to "catch em' all".

It was primarily aimed at children, but was also a huge nostalgic hit with the millennial generation that had grown up when Pokemon; the show, card game, and Game Boy game hit the shelves.

One thing that the creators of Pokemon Go could never have expected is how much the older adult population have taken to the game. One 74-year-old man in particular has taken the Pokemon Go world by storm, reaching the highest level possible.

Amadeo Busquets started playing the game because he is a diabetic and would do a lot of walking to help with his health. He found that after enough daily walks, walking for the sake of walking became quite boring, regardless of trying new routes and stops, everything became so repetitive. He decided to give Pokemon Go a shot, and he has been hooked ever since. He plays an average of 8 hours per day.

His goal is to catch every Pokemon available throughout the game, and he's is well on his way towards his goal. Though he hasn't yet caught each individual Pokemon, he has caught a grand total of 52,757 of these little digital creatures. In order to do this, he has walked 2214 miles.

He says the bane of his life concerning the game is Pikachu, saying he has only caught 233 of them, needing 67 more to hit an achievement.

For his outdoor excursions he has his own emergency kit, complete with spare phone, multiple different USB charger cords, a spare battery pack, and of course his diabetic blood glucose meter.

At 74 years of age, Amadeo Busquets has reached the highest level on "˜Pokemon Go'.
