When Officer Branson from the McKinney, Texas police department saw a man walking beside a busy road, he did the right thing and pulled over to see if he needed help.
It turned out the man was just walking to work, but the officer was surprised by where this man was going. He was walking to McKinney from Plano, a city 15 miles away.
It turned out that this was nothing unusual for the man, who wants to only be identified as Patrick, because he spends nearly 3 hours walking to work 5 days a week.
Ofc. Branson checked on a man walking on the shoulder of 75 today. That man walks 2.5 hours to work from Plano to Braum'...

Patrick used to work at a Braums restaurant in Plano, but when he was offered a promotion at the location in McKinney, he took the job.
So for the past 7 months, rain or shine, he's spent hours walking to work. Patrick says this is all about commitment.
"You make a commitment to your job, to go to work every day," he told NBC. "They expect you to go to work every day. No excuses."
Patrick's community have rallied behind him since officer Branson shared his post, trying to raise money to get him a safe ride to work. A GoFundMe page started for him raised nearly $4,000.
Don't be worried, at night when it's too dark to walk home safely Patrick's coworker gives him a ride.
