When it comes to most wildlife, we pretty much expect them to stay out in the wild, right? Well, one bear seems to have missed the memo.
At the Donner Pass facility of the California Highway Patrol, officers were faced with a strange site. Sure, they are supposed to protect the people driving on the highway, but nothing could have prepared them for the unexpected visitor they received a week ago.
The CHP shared a video with a simple caption, "we had an unexpected visitor last night at the facility," but what the clip showed was a real bear walking up the a door on two feet and turning the handle as if he had done it countless times before.
Then, he stomps his way through as if he owns the place, before eventually being chased back out by a couple of uniformed officers.
The video has been viewed thousands of times because of course it has, it's absolutely insane. But honestly, some of the comments are what are really taking this over the edge. This one is my personal favorite:
That wasn't the only visit they received. A few days later, their new bear buddy came back and was wandering around the parking lot.
He didn't make his way inside this time, but it seemed like he was looking for some food near the dumpster.
He wasn't even that far off the highway, you can see it in the background of the video, so I guess he must have been hungry.
This is the time of year where all the bears are preparing for their winter hibernation, so they have to eat as much food as possible.
I guess he just couldn't get enough change for those vending machines...
