A 90-year-old man can now breathe a sigh of relief because his 2 beloved 13-year-old cats have now found a wonderful home together, so they can live out their golden years surrounded by comfort and love.
The sisters have now found their forever home after their previous owner was no longer able to care for them.
This is Phoebe and Fluffy!
Over a decade ago, a neighborhood stray cat showed up pregnant on the doorstep of the couple's home. That's when the sweet man brought her inside so that she would have a safe place to give birth to her babies.
Once the kittens were born, the momma cat and 3 kittens became part of the family and stayed with the couple.
"Fluffy and Phoebe lived with them all their life and the father even kept the 13 year-old girls with him in assisted living for three years after his wife passed away," the Purrfect Pals Cat Shelter told Love Meow.
Eventually it reached a point where the owner could no longer look after the cats that he watched grow up since their birth.

After 13 years together, the owner wanted to make sure that his cats got a good home, so it took the sisters to Purrfect Pals for help.
Initially the rescue wanted to separate the two cats so that they would have a better chance of being adopted quickly. They soon learned that that wasn't the best plan, because the cats needed each other to thrive.
"Once separated, they were scared and shy, and Fluffy became depressed and was not eating well," the rescue said. "Happily, Larissa and Rodrigo took them both home to foster. Soon after being reunited, the kitties ate dinner together, after which Fluffy bathed Phoebe, while purring non-stop."
Older cats are more difficult to find long-term homes, because too many people prefer young kittens. So getting 2 senior cats adopted together was considered a challenge.
But they were in luck!
After waiting, a wonderful family came into the rescue and fell in love with the old girls.
"They are loved to pieces and doing great! Now known as The GoldenGirls, Blanche (Fluffy) and Sophia (Phoebe), the girls have adjusted well in their home and are thriving, helped by all the love two 7 year-olds, two 15 year-olds, and two adult humans can give," Purrfect Pals told Love Meow.
Now they are happy in their forever home.
"We just love them and are so happy to have them in our family. All my pets have been rescues, this is the first time I've adopted a pair. It's wonderful," Bunny, their human mom, said.
Blanche and Phoebe's former owner was thrilled to hear the girls got adopted together.
The new family is happy for their new additions too.
"I wake up every morning with Blanche curled up on me. Best adoption ever!"
