2017 was a rough year for a lot of people, and frankly we are glad that it is finally done and over with. It was a tough year for the world of celebrities as well, as several of them faced arrest for a variety of offenses. You would think that being in the limelight would force them to truly consider the consequences of whatever they are doing, but it doesn't always seem to be the case.
Here are 7 celebrities that felt the cold steel of handcuffs during 2017.
1. Charlie Heaton
One of the stars of Stranger Things 2 missed the season premier in Los Angeles after he was stopped at the airport and denied entry into the country. During a routine check at LAX, trace amounts of cocaine were found somewhere on his person or luggage. Though he was not formally charged, he was forced to fly back to England immediately. He quickly apologized to the show's fans, and to his cast mates, saying he hoped this event didn't take away from the show's premiere.
2. Travis Scott
Scott was arrested during one of his concerts in Arkansas when police charged him with inciting a riot. Scott had noticed that there were several empty seats up closer to the stage and he encouraged people to make their way over to them. People were injured in the resulting stampede, and Scott was then charged.
3. Aaron Carter
The younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, along with his ex-girlfriend were arrested during a routine traffic stop and charged with a number of offenses. Aaron refused to give a breathalyzer sample and was charged with DUI, but he was also charged with possession of marijuana and a number of drug related paraphernalia. His brother Nick quickly reached out to him offering his help.
4. Fetty Wap
The rapper was busted in New York for alleged drag racing. This stop led to a number of driving related charges including: reckless endangerment, speeding, and driving while intoxicated. It didn't end there though, he was also hit with reckless driving and driving without a license.
5. Miles Teller
Miles Teller was out having a good time in San Diego, California when he was arrested for public intoxication. When officers arrived on scene, Teller was allegedly so drunk that he was barely able to stand up under his own power. When the officers made their initial approach to Teller he nearly fell into a lane of oncoming traffic. He was taken to a facility to sleep off the booze, but he was so uncooperative that the staff wouldn't let him come in, which is why he was arrested and charged.
6. Louis Tomlinson
Tomlinson was charged with simple battery stemming from an incident at LAX. When a member of the paparazzi got too close for comfort, he reached out and grabbed the photographer's legs which caused him to fall. After heading to the courtroom a month later, chargers were never officially filed against him which saved him a lot of hassle and time.
7. Logan Paul
The controversial YouTube star was arrested in Rome for flying a drone over top of the Colosseum, which is highly illegal. The stunt was meant to get them some more footage for their popular online channel, and the arrest only seemed to bolster their "creativity."
Paul's camera was confiscated by police, but he still somehow managed to record audio from inside the police station where he can be heard saying, "I don't want any problems. I'll pay whatever you guys need. I don't want to cause problems." Even after being released from custody, he and his brother got up to even more stupidity for the rest of their trip.
