11 Never-Before-Seen Photos of Princess Diana and Prince Charles' Wedding

On July 29, 1981, more than 750 million people from all over the world were glued to their television sets as Lady Diana Spencer married Charles, Prince of Wales in a traditional ceremony at St. Paul's Cathedral in front of 3500 guests.

It's been more than 35 years since the lavish event (they had 27 wedding cakes), and in all that time people have been curious about what the parts of the day not shown on camera were really like.

Luckily, British photographer Lord Patrick Lichfield was on hand during the big day and was given the exclusive honor of capturing the behind-the-scenes action. The best shots were presented to the Royal Family after the wedding, but the outtakes remained with Lichfield's assistant, who kept them private all these years.

In 2015, the rare photos were sold at an auction and now they're making the rounds online.
