French Toast is perfect no matter how you make it, but there is always room to try something new. This Slow Cooker Banana Pecan French Toast is such an amazing way to do it!
Who knew you could make french toast in a slow cooker? its such an easy way to get brunch ready while you clean up or chat or whatever else you need to do! This is such a delicious meal and everyone is going to want seconds!
Ingredients:
- 12 (1" thick) slices whole wheat baguette
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 1/2 lemon, freshley squeezed
- 1.2 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
Add you eggs, almond milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon and whisk it until combined.
Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray and arrange the pieces of bread along the bottom. Pour the egg mixture over top of the bread.
Toss the bananas with the lemon juice.
Then add to the slow cooker.
Pour in the melted coconut oil.
And sprinkle in the pecans.
Cook on high heat for 2-3 hours.
Serve with maple syrup or icing sugar on top to add a little extra flavor!
