Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter, Shiloh, spent part of her winter vacation in a hospital bed.
The 11-year-old was involved in an accident that led her to have to spend some time receiving medical care.
"Mom was very grateful to the team who helped her," an insider told PEOPLE.
But it appears that the youngster is on the mend.
Shiloh was spotted wearing a blue sling on her left arm when she was out shopping with her brother Knox on Sunday.
It was reported that she broke her collarbone on December 29 while on a family trip in Lake Tahoe.
The daughter of the famous actors "broke her arm while snowboarding" over the holidays on a family vacation, but "is fine," a source tells PEOPLE.
The siblings were enjoying their outing while their mom and 14-year-old sibling Pax prepared to attend the Golden Globes, where the 42-year-old actress turned director's project "First They Killed My Father" was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film.
"He seemed very protective over her," an onlooker told Us Weekly of the teenager. "He was trying to take care of her."
Shiloh is clearly not letting the accident slow her down as she was seen with a beaming smile out with her mother and and sibling Zahara at the National Board of Review Awards Gala in New York City on Tuesday.
Jolie and Pitt split in September 2016 after 12 years together, and two years of marriage. Together they have six children. They adopted Maddox in Cambodia in 2002, Pax was adopted from Vietnam in March 2007, Zahara was born in Ethopia and adopted by the family in July 2005. Shiloh is the first of Angelina and Brad's biological children. Twins Knox and Vivienne were born in July 2008 and are the couple's second and third biological children.
Jolie hasn't let the split affect the relationship she has with her children.
"We all have our difficult times, but as a mother, you also have a responsibility first and foremost towards the kids. They are going through their formative years and everything else comes second to that," she said.
We can expect to see the actress on the big screen soon, after she signed up for Maleficent 2, but her priority remains her kids.
"Everything will be around the children," she said. "I haven't worked for over a year now because they needed me home. Everything was just stopped."
