Reba McEntire can never be stopped!
The 62-year-old entertainer has proven time and again that she's no match for those who are new to the game. She is one of country music's most successful artists, with over 40 albums under her belt, and she's an equally talented actress.
In addition to starring in a number of films, Reba also appeared in dozens of television shows, including her very own sitcom.
Now, the star has another unique role to add to her extensive resume: she's is the new Colonel Sanders!
That's right, KFC has chosen the country crooner to portray their mascot, Colonel Sanders, in their latest marketing campaigns. This is the first in the brand's 90-year history that a woman is portraying the restaurant's founder, Harland Sanders.
McEntire joins the ranks of celebrities like Darrell Hammond, Norm MacDonald, Rob Lowe, and Billy Zane, all of whom have played the Colonel over the years.
The singer/actress will be promoting the fast food chain's finger lickin' good menu until April, and although the commercials are scheduled to start airing on January 28, the first one is already available online!
The fried chicken company explained that Reba was a clear choice because she "embodies the brand."
"We've been publicly talking for a while about the fact that anyone who embodies the spirit of the colonel is qualified to play this role," said Andrea Zahumensky, the chain's chief marketing officer. "Her Southern roots are a perfect fit."
KFC shared the brand new ad for their Smoky Mountain BBQ Chicken featuring Reba on social media, and fans are already dubbing it as "the best commercial of all time."
Reba, who is rocking the Colonel's signature white hair, mustache, goatee, glasses and white suit, looks almost unrecognizable, but her unique vocals while singing at the honky tonk are definitely what gives it away.
"Absolutely nothing's changed," she sings. "Oh, please ignore any likeness to famous country singers. I'm definitely not a woman. Oh wait there's one thing that's new about me, it's my Smoky Mountain BBQ."

KFC's progressive choice to cast a female to play their iconic male mascot comes at the heels of women in the entertainment industry, backed up by the Time's Up movement, speaking out about being being offered less roles and lesser pay than their male counterparts.
